Silver Dream Studio is a place where we bring our creative journey into the world for others to see and share. It is the creation of Howard and Andrea Fischer and has been our creative space since 2008. Howard is a retired Geology Professor and now a photographer and silver crafter. Andrea was a multi-talented writer, painter, retailer, mother and grandmother amongst many other things and is now a strong, graceful and beautiful spirit after her eight year battle with breast cancer came to an end in 2016.
The main purpose of this website is to share words and images we have brought together to bring strength, hope and healing into peoples lives, particularly in times of trial and grief. We have tried to pair the images taken by Howard and the words written by Andrea in such a way that they bring you a resonance with the emotions and lessons we have felt and learned throughout our lives together and through the new journey we are traveling.
Over the past year and a half we have deeply learned that we are not our bodies, that they are just clothing for our spirits which go on forever. As does our love.
I am now the hands and eyes and voice in the material world and Andrea sends me her words on wings and I am learning to hear them and let her guide me in pairing them with images to make them express the feelings we want to share in hopes of bringing others some of the healing, peace and light we have found as we continue our journey of spirit and love together.
The site also contains my jewelry, although Andrea also sends me inspiration and designs at times as well.

I have been crafting silver jewelry mostly as a hobby for almost 40 years, co-taught a college-level jewelry course for four years until I retired from teaching and I am grateful to have had my work displayed in a Gallery in Old Town, Fort Collins, Colorado from 2010-15. While I work in many aspects of silver crafting, I am presently concentrating on creating a line of silver earrings, of stamped silver pendants and silver, copper and turquoise pendants.
